Customization Comes to the Mimeo Document Builder - New Opportunity for Team Collaboration

Customization is a new collaboration tool that is now available to all Mimeo customers. It is designed to give the account administrator more flexibility in how they share and control documents.
Now a document owner can predefine areas of each document that can be changed by others. Options include uploaded graphics (such as a logo), text or pictures. This approach is perfect for anyone that allows co-branding of documents or needs to insert event or location specific information.

There are many uses for this new technology:
Trainers: Courseware often contains the name of the instructor, institution, contact information and the time/place of the class. With customization, the fields of the document that contain this type of information can be identified in a custom template. Anyone ordering the document would be prompted to add the required “custom” information prior to printing. The person ordering can see a proof of the finished document and then order as many as needed.
Sales Operations: There is a constant struggle between sales people who want to customize presentations and their managers who want to define what should be in each document based on a set of best practices. Now managers can predefine areas of documents that can be customized by sales employees before printing. This is the perfect way to insert the name of the salesperson, customer name and pertinent information into predefi ned areas of the documents while keeping important information that can’t change, such as the company value proposition, intact. With greater use of customization, sales personnel are more likely to find value in the documents. Customers will appreciate presentations that go beyond boilerplate and contain details which were customized just for them.
Retailers: Every store is different, yet promotions are usually uniform across locations. Now targeted offers, merchandise pictures and store hours/information can be inserted by managers into marketing materials before they order printed pieces. Localization will improve customer satisfaction, participation and ROI. In today’s marketplace, every competitive advantage matters. Empowering others to customize documents before printing reduces central office labor costs, while customization itself will improve the impact of every printed piece.
Channel Management: Many organizations develop manuals and materials for use by partners. With customization, partners can add simple touches such as a logo or contact information. Experience shows even simple customization such as a logo, will greatly improve partner satisfaction and program adoption.
