An Environmentally Friendly Printing Company?

Posted on September 4, 2007 at 11:25am, written by Jeff Grill, VP Marketing

Like most issues, being green can be a complicated one.  Take paper for example.  Did you know that using recycled paper in your documents is not always the best environmental option since recycled paper doesn’t recycle well while new white paper can be recycled 6 times.  Mimeo has recently formed a committee to implement a set of best practices for how operate with as little environmental impact as possible.  For example, our paper is only sourced from North America with the majority certified as being from well managed forests and controlled sources.  Once our policy has been finalized we’ll post it for all to read and comment.

Are you planning to elaborate on this post? No posts have addressed this and nothing shows up about it on the rest of your website. I would be really happy if you had recycled paper and vegetable based inks!

Select Mimeo papers will have FSC chain of custody certification by the end of the 3rd Quarter 2008.  we are also adding 100% recycled options to our standard paper selections.
